Q Can I get auto insurance if I don't own a vehicle?
A
If you don't own a vehicle, but still drive, it's a good idea to have a nonowner auto insurance policy. You need nonowner auto coverage if you rent vehicles, use car-sharing services or borrow other people's vehicles. It gives you liability protection when you're in an accident and you're at fault--or if the other driver is at fault, but is under- or uninsured.
