State Farm has the lowest full-coverage average among the four major insurers we compared (GEICO, Progressive, Safeco and State Farm), at about $120 a month.
Eugene is one of the least expensive places in Oregon in our data, and Lane County is the third-least expensive of the 30 Oregon counties we price. Our benchmark driver pays about $29 a month less here than the state average and about $54 a month less than in Portland.

State Farm has the lowest full-coverage average among the four insurers in our Eugene rate data. The published 2026 statewide Oregon rate studies we reviewed don’t agree on one cheapest company for full coverage: two rank Oregon Mutual first, two rank State Farm, and one each ranks Progressive and Travelers, apart from USAA, which sells only to military families. For liability-only coverage at 25/50/20 limits, State Farm has the lowest average among these four insurers, at about $51 a month, followed by GEICO at $60.

The full-coverage package doubles the per-person injury limit, triples the per-crash limit and doubles the property damage limit, and it raises uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage to 100/300. GEICO and Safeco charge less for 100/300/100 than for 50/100/50 for our benchmark driver.
