Raising liability limits from 50/100/50 to 100/300/100 barely changes the average in our Indianapolis data: with the same $500 deductibles, full coverage averages $2,308 a year and 50/100/50 averages $2,293. The full-coverage package doubles the per-person injury limit, triples the per-crash limit and doubles the property damage limit, and it raises uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage to 100/300. Allstate and Auto-Owners charge less for 100/300/100 than for 50/100/50 for our benchmark driver.
Not by much, for our benchmark driver. Progressive cut its Indianapolis average 2.1% and Indiana Farm Bureau 0.9%, while Auto-Owners raised its average 1.5%; Allstate’s average was unchanged. State Farm’s latest rates are from November 2025, so it’s left out of this comparison. Liability-only coverage at 25/50/10 limits fell 2.2%, led by Indiana Farm Bureau, which cut its liability-only average 8.0%.
Marion County averages about $193 a month for full coverage, the eighth-most expensive of the 86 Indiana counties we price.
The suburbs around the city cost less: Carmel averages about $159 a month, Fishers $164, Greenwood $165 and Plainfield $163. Where you live is one of the factors Indiana insurers use, so neighboring cities can be priced differently.
