For a 40-year-old driver with a clean record, Bellevue car insurance averages about $225 a month ($2,698 a year) for full coverage, based on the rates insurers had filed with state regulators as of Aug. 31, 2026. That’s about the same as the Nebraska average of $224 a month. Farmers Mutual of Nebraska has the lowest full-coverage average of the four insurers we price, at about $140 a month.
Bellevue is priced close to the Nebraska average for our benchmark driver and about $14 a month less than Omaha, its neighbor to the north.

Full coverage in Bellevue averages $2,698 a year, or about $225 a month, for our benchmark driver. Liability-only coverage at Nebraska’s 25/50/25 minimum averages $680 a year ($57 a month), and 50/100/50 liability with comprehensive and collision averages $2,554 ($213 a month).
Farmers Mutual of Nebraska has the lowest full-coverage average among the four insurers in our Bellevue rate data. The published 2026 statewide Nebraska rate studies we reviewed don’t agree on the cheapest insurer for full coverage. Of the seven that price it, two put Farmers Mutual of Nebraska first and two GEICO, apart from USAA, which sells only to military families, and the other three name other insurers. Farmers Mutual of Nebraska is first or second in all five that include it. For liability-only coverage at 25/50/25 limits, Progressive and Farmers Mutual of Nebraska are effectively tied for the lowest average, at about $30 and $31 a month.

Raising liability limits from 50/100/50 to 100/300/100 adds about $144 a year on average in our Bellevue data, with the same $500 deductibles. That’s about $12 a month for double the per-person injury limit, three times the per-crash limit and double the property damage limit, and the full-coverage package also raises uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage to 100/300.
Not for our benchmark driver. Comparing the same insurers in the same Bellevue ZIP codes, full coverage averaged $2,812 a year in rates as of Nov. 30, 2025, and $2,698 as of Aug. 31, 2026, a 4.1% drop. Progressive cut its Bellevue average 19.1% and Farm Bureau Financial Services 9.7%, while Allstate raised its average 9.4%; Farmers Mutual of Nebraska’s average was unchanged. State Farm’s latest rates are from November 2025, so it’s left out of this comparison. Liability-only coverage at 25/50/25 limits rose 0.3%, led by Allstate, which raised its liability-only average 14.8%.
Sarpy County averages about $218 a month for full coverage, the 13th-most expensive of the 30 Nebraska counties we price and below Douglas County ($240).
Other Sarpy County cities cost less than Bellevue: La Vista averages about $211 a month, Papillion $213 and Gretna $214.
